Everything you need to know about using Afrivora.
How do I post a listing?
Tap the + button in the bottom navigation, choose your category (Fashion, Services, Cars, or Homes), fill in the details, and tap "Submit for Review". Our team reviews listings within 24 hours.
How long does review take?
Most listings are reviewed and approved within a few hours. You'll be able to see the status of your listing under Account → My Listings.
Can I save a listing as a draft?
Yes — tap "Save as Draft" at the bottom of the listing form. You can come back and finish it later from Account → My Listings.
How many photos can I upload?
You can upload up to 10 photos per listing. Clear, well-lit photos significantly increase your chances of a quick sale.
How do I search for items?
Use the Search tab in the bottom navigation. You can filter by category, country, and price range to find exactly what you're looking for.
What categories are available?
Afrivora covers Fashion, Services, Cars & Vehicles, Homes & Property, Electronics, Cosmetics, Food, and Furniture.
Can I save listings I like?
Yes — tap the bookmark icon on any listing to save it. Access saved items under Account → Saved Listings.
How do I contact a seller?
Open any listing and tap the green WhatsApp button to contact the seller directly, or tap "Chat on Afrivora" to message them through the platform. Your conversations appear under Account → Messages.
Is my WhatsApp number shared?
Sellers choose whether to add their WhatsApp number to their profile. If they do, it is visible to buyers who tap the WhatsApp button. Buyers' numbers are not shown on the platform.
What payment methods are supported?
Mobile money (Wave, Orange Money) and credit/debit card payments are coming soon. Stay tuned — we'll notify you when they're available in your country.
Is escrow available?
Yes — select 'Escrow Available' when creating your listing. Funds are held securely until the buyer confirms receipt.
What currencies are accepted?
We support all major West African currencies including NGN, GHS, XOF, GMD, SLE, and more.
How do I verify my account?
Go to Account → Verify Identity and upload a valid ID. Verified accounts get a badge and appear higher in search results.
How do I reset my password?
On the login page, use the OTP option to sign in, then update your password under Account → Settings.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — go to Account → Settings and scroll to the bottom. All your data will be removed within 30 days.
The app isn't loading properly — what should I do?
Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache. If the issue persists, email us at support@afrivora.com.
I can't upload photos — what's wrong?
Make sure each photo is under 10 MB and is a JPEG, PNG, or WebP file. Also check your browser permissions.
